Along these lines, Las Águilas published an important announcement that modifies the management structure for the Apertura 2022: Héctor González Iñárritu will be the new operational president. At the same time, the press release states that Santiago Baños will continue as sports president, but will now have an assistant.

González Iñárritu served as vice-president of Los Azulcremas between 1999 and 2004. Now, "he will be in charge of the team's operations, administration, finance, legal and marketing areas".
