The winter transfer window has brought with it some attention-grabbing moves, as different teams are looking to reinforce their squad to fight for the title in the Clausura 2022, however, according to Transfermarkt, many Liga MX players are close to the end of their contracts, so at the conclusion of the next tournament or the Apertura 2022, these players could change club jerseys.

Jonathan Rodríguez – Cruz Azul

The goal scorer of the goal that gave Cruz Azul the title is about to finish his contract in December 2022. Jonathan 'Cabecita' Rodríguez arrived from Santos Laguna to Cruz Azul in the Clausura 2019; in his stay with the 'Máquina', he has played 108 matches, scored 50 goals, and assisted on 12 occasions. Luis Romo – Cruz Azul

One of the Tokyo 2021 Olympic medalists has yet to define his future and with his eyes set on Europe, Luis Romo's contract with the Máquina expires in December 2022. The Mexican midfielder arrived for the 2020 Clausura from Querétaro and established himself in Cruz Azul's starting eleven after playing 64 matches, scoring 9 goals, and assisting on 15 times. He was also a key player in the league title won by the Celestes in the Guardianes 2021.

Miguel Layun – América

After returning from Europe to Rayados de Monterrey, Miguel Layún completed his contract in the Sultana del Norte and joined América on a free contract in July 2021. In his second period with the Azulcremas, he has played 1366 minutes in 17 matches in which he has not scored, but has contributed 4 assists. His contract is set to expire in June 2022.

Guillermo Ochoa - America

The comeback from Europe of the prodigal son to the nest has not been as expected. Guillermo Ochoa arrived at América for the 2019 Apertura from Standard Liege, however, the national team player has not managed to win anything yet in his second stint with the Azulcremas. Ochoa has played 86 games, conceded 98 goals, and managed to keep a clean sheet in 28 matches. His contract is set to expire in December 2022.

Alexis Vega - Chivas

Alexis Vega became a benchmark for Guadalajara, however, in Grita México A21, the Mexican attacker did not show his best level, so his fate for December 2022 is still uncertain. Isaac Brizuela - Chivas

Isaac Brizuela joined the Rebaño Sagrado in the 2015 Clausura from Toluca and since then has won one league title, two cup titles, one super cup, and one Concachampions. In addition, he has played a total of 256 matches with the Guadalajara shirt, scored 24 goals and assisted 31 times.

Javier Aquino - Tigres

Juan Dinenno - Pumas

Pumas' striker has not yet defined his future, as his contract expires next December 2022. Juan Ignacio Dinenno arrived at the Pedregal squad for the 2020 Clausura, since then, he has been in 68 games where he scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists. During his time at Pumas, he has made it to a league final against León in the Guardianes 2020.

Luis Montes - Leon

One of León's most important players ends his contract in June 2022 and details of his renewal are not yet known. Luis Montes is about to celebrate 10 years wearing the Fiera jersey, during that time he has played 378 games, scored 56 goals, and assisted 66 times, as well as winning three league titles and a Leagues Cup.
