There have been several sports analysts who have come out to defend the work of Ricardo Cadena and who have strongly criticized Ricardo Peláez, and among the most famous are Christian Martinolli, Heriberto Murrieta, and Héctor Huerta. 

The main criticisms of the sporting director were that as sporting director of a team as important for Mexico as Chivas, Pelaez has achieved nothing more than a place in two Liguillas and nothing more. 

Miguel González, the host of ESPN's Sports Center, recalled that upon his arrival, Peláez said that his legacy would be titled, but so far that has remained a promise. 

In addition, the sports analyst explained that today it is not clear what Pelaez's sports project will be and that it would be a very bad idea to remove Ricardo Cadena, as it would mean going back to the search for a coach.

ESPN's Mauricio Pedroza also spoke about the situation at Chivas and was sarcastic when he said that Chivas has a problem with two Ricardos, one who should leave and the other who should stay, about the fact that Ricardo Cadena should remain at the helm of the Rojiblancos.

Martinolli took advantage of his space to say that Pelaez only follows orders and that he is in the institution practically as an ornament. He does not make decisions, he is an ornament".
