Chivas is still giving a lot to talk about, as now Ricardo Peláez became the main topic after José Juan “Gallito” Vázquez said in an interview that he’s not a man of his word after the ex-soccer player told him he wouldn’t be kicked out of Chivas during his second stint with the team, and then proceeded to fire him.

The event happened during the Apertura 2020, when “Gallito” was separated from Chivas’ squad, alongside “Chofis” López and Dieter Villalpando, when they attended a party the latter threw, in which he later was accused of sexual abuse.

Vázquez claims that when Peláez approached him to let him know of the investigations going around the team, but he told Vázquez that his spot in the team was secure and nothing would happen to him.

A couple of days after the conversation, when the team was travelling to Mexico City, the three of them were separated from the roster and there was nothing he could do to be taken in consideration.

What happened to Gallito Vázquez?

After the incident that happened in Apertura 2020, Vázquez signed a 1-year deal with Toluca, where he played during 2021 were he was a regular in Hernán Cristante’s squad, as he didn’t miss a single game during his stint. He joined Tijuana Xolos for Clausura 2022 as a free agent.
