Pumas UNAM Liga MX 2022 schedule: matches, dates, and times
The Auriazules already know their rivals for the Clausura 2022, a tournament in which they will finally seek to win the title after their last two attempts.
Coach Andrés Lillini is already preparing his team for the next tournament now that Pumas UNAM's schedules for Liga MX 2022 are known and the dates, and times of their upcoming matches have been announced.
The last time Pumas UNAM won the title was in the Clausura 2011 when Memo Vázquez was the team's coach.
With a team that was a solid combination of players from the basic forces, combined with experienced reinforcements, the team had an excellent regular phase, which crowned the maximum title of Mexican soccer.
And the club has not been far from glory in recent years, as it was runner-up in the Guardianes 2020, when it lost the final to Leon, with a score of 3-1.
Interestingly, the Leon club was runner-up in the Apertura 2021.
In the last tournament, Pumas UNAM showed that the problems it is going through are mostly economic in origin. The finances have not been healthy for years.
And that has prevented the team from bringing in renowned reinforcements to provide support and guidance to the young players in its youth academy.
With this lack of budget, Andrés Lillini, the team's current coach, has managed to get the Auriazules to the final of the Guardianes 2020, and the Liguilla of the Apertura 2021.
Some possible reinforcements for the team are still being named, but as they arrive, it is important to know Pumas UNAM's schedule for Liga MX 2022, with the teams they will face.
