After finishing the regular tournament with 35 points, many expected America to finish the Liga MX as champions.

But since that did not happen, the process of player recruitment has already begun and names are been bandied about regarding possible players to join the Coapa´s nest.

Possible reinforcements for Club America

Matheus Dória began to be strongly mentioned to shore up the team, since many of the problems faced by the Aguilas were in the central backline.

Due to the excellent relationship between Santos and America, it is very likely that the 27-year-old will join the club.

With more than 614 assists and 131 recovered balls, the player seems the logical choice to solve the Azulcremas' most serious problems.

Darwin Machís is another possible reinforcement for Club America. If Aguilas wants to strengthen its squad for the Apertura 2022, it will probably have to spend 7.50 million euros to bring him from Europe, as the player currently plays for Granada, with whom he has a contract until June 2023.

Israel Reyes is also in the sights of Azulcremas' directors and is rumored to be the most desired player by the club. He is Salvador Reyes' brother and has been one of Puebla's most outstanding players. With his more than 60 percent effectiveness in aerial duels, this player can help the Aguilas to take flight.

Cristian Pavón is another possible reinforcement for Club America, although so far he is the most complicated option: to obtain him, America could exchange him for Roger Martínez, who is wanted by Boca Juniors. However, his charter is valued at 10 million euros and, in addition, this player is also wanted by Fenerbahce and Besiktas

Lautaro Gianetti, who currently plays for Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina, is another player wanted by Coapa. Averaging 88 percent of completed passes, the player would give the team the dynamism it needs.

Leonardo Castro of the Independiente of Medellin is contemplated to replace Renato Ibarra or Leo Suarez. His ability to play on the wing or as a striker could put an end to the team's lack of punch.

Eduardo Aguirre, despite his young age (23 years old), is in the middle of a dispute between two of the biggest teams in Mexico: Chivas and America, as both teams want to obtain the services of the Santos player.

Nicknamed El Mudo, may put pressure on the Azulcremas' attackers to try to improve the performance of their forward line.

Uriel Antuna is, so far, the possible reinforcement for America's most controversial in this transfer market. Not only because the player plays for the arch-rival team: the Chivas of Guadalajara, but also because since the Aguilas announced their intention to add him to their squad, the fans did not agree.

America fans even made noise on Twitter and launched the hashtag #AntunaNoFirmes to try to prevent her arrival at the club.

So far what is known is that Uriel Antuna has not said yes to America, because they have not been able to match the salary that the player receives at Chivas.

To further complicate the operation, America is offering Sebastián Córdova in exchange, who is already rumored to have a presentation date, which would be next Monday, December 6th.

What other possible reinforcements for Club America for Clausura 2022 should arrive at the nest?
