Carlos Acevedo would be América's first choice to replace Guillermo Ochoa if he does not renew his contract with the Azulcremas, however, Paco Memo has another candidate to replace him.

During América's training sessions, he was always seen with the young Mexican goalkeeper Fernando Tapia of the U-20 team, who would be the next goalkeeper of the Azulcrema team if Ochoa and Óscar Jiménez leave the team.

Why is Guillermo Ochoa not renewing his contract with América?

One of the obstacles that Guillermo Ochoa has with América is the time they want to give him since the Mexican goalkeeper is looking for at least two years to sign his renewal, something that América is thinking about due to his age.
