MLS is a league that is slowly growing and developing and just as Zlatan Ibrahimovic once played in it, Lionel Messi could join Inter Miami in 2023, according to press reports from Europe. With this signing, is MLS surpassing Liga MX?

As Lionel Messi sweeps Ligue 1 with PSG, his son is ashamed of the Paris club

This news that has just shaken the world of Paris Saint-Germain fans was released by Directv in Europe, where it is reported that there is already a contract with the player.

According to the European press, Lionel Messi could join Inter Miami in 2023

The news was announced by Añex Candal, correspondent of Directv Europe, who in a report said that the player will buy 35% of the shares of that club and that he could arrive to play for that same team in 2023

This news gives strength to the rumors that the Argentine would have planned to finish his career in MLS and not in Argentina, so Major League Soccer would receive the player when he finishes his contract with PSG.

In this way, Messi will not only be one of the owners of the team but he is expected to wear the uniform of the Herons, the team where his compatriot and national teammate Gonzalo Higuaín plays.

According to reports in the European press, the player would be about to own 35% of the team and could arrive to play in the North American territory in 2023, when his two-year contract with PSG has expired.

In this way, the player would put an end to his soccer career after having worn the uniforms of FC Barcelona and PSG, adding the shirt of Inter Miami to his soccer career.

Although the player or the team has not commented on the matter, the news is gaining momentum due to the rumor that David Beckham's team has been dreaming of signing Messi for years, although there has also been speculation in the press about the player's possible return to Barcelona.

However, neither the Culé team nor the player has commented on this rumor, even though just a few months ago, it was rumored that the player's father had traveled to Barcelona to try to renegotiate the return of his son to the club.

With Messi's probable arrival at Inter Miami, is MLS surpassing Liga MX?

The arrival of the Argentine star to MLS, although not yet confirmed, seems to give strength to the feeling that many fans have that MLS is gradually overtaking Liga MX, at least in terms of signing top players.

The signing of Xerdán Shaqiri, a Bayern Munich and Liverpool player who currently plays for the Chicago Fire, is still fresh. And in June, Lorenzo Insigne, Napoli's flagship player, will arrive to play in this tournament.

Nor should we forget Héctor Herrera, who played for Atletico Madrid in the current La Liga tournament and in the UEFA Champions League, and who will soon be playing for Houston Dynamo.

Not to mention that Carlos Vela, a Real Sociedad former player, and Javier Hernandez, a Real Madrid and Manchester United player, play for LAFC and LA Galaxy of MLS.

And how can we forget the case of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was a star with the LA Galaxy, and although he did not even win the MLS Cup, he did obtain great recognition in Major League Soccer.

Meanwhile, in Liga MX, the last outstanding signings were those of Claudio "Piojo" López, who excelled with Valencia and Lazio, and Iván Zamorano, who came to Liga MX after playing for Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

And no one can forget when the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro managed to sign Ronaldinho, who had an outstanding career in Mexican soccer. But it seems that when it comes to signing big stars, MLS is beating Liga MX.
