Liga MX 2022: Chivas vs FC Juárez game postponed for this reason

The match between the Rebaño Sagrado and the Bravos was scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 6, but the snow did not allow it because the civil protection services predicted very low temperatures for the whole weekend, match had to be postponed.

The new date for Chivas vs FC Juárez in Liga MX 2022 is now known

The match will take place next Wednesday, February 9, but what has yet to be defined is the time of the game.

This way, Liga MX has finally managed to schedule this duel, which had to be postponed because they wanted to put at risk neither the teams nor the fans that were going to attend the match

The state authorities in conjunction with Liga MX decided to suspend the match to safeguard the integrity of the players of both teams, and given the forecasts that the average temperature for the game would be between -3 and -4° Celsius (-3 and -4° Fahrenheit).

Some photos of the Bravos de Juárez stadium, the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium, went viral, showing the field of the stadium completely covered with snow

Even the official Twitter account of the team led by Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti joked that the Bravos were going to wait for Chivas on that snow-covered field.

However, the authorities' decision to postpone the match prevented the game from taking place and now, with the new date, the match can be played.

Chivas vs FC Juárez will be a vital match for Michel Leaño

Without a doubt, every Liga MX match is played as if it were the last; however, for Marcelo Michel Leaño, the head coach of the Rebaño Sagrado, the match against "Tuca's" Bravos could be his opportunity to return his team to the path of victory

Since the beginning of Liga MX 2022, Chivas have only 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss, so this match is the last call for Leaño to convince the fans of Club Deportivo Guadalajara that the team is ready to compete for the tournament.

And Leaño has to play with this in mind, even though a few days ago it was reported in the Mexican media that his conditions to remain at the helm of Chivas had changed

According to El Universal, the Rebaño Sagrado coach will now be able to keep his job if the team reaches the reclassification round of the tournament.

That is, if Chivas is among the top 12 teams at the end of the Clausura 2022, the coach will be able to remain in charge.
