After the Atlas vs Pachuca, Julio Furch could be closer to Club America. What is he asking of the Aguilas?

Although the defeat on their visit to Pachuca was only the second time that Las Águilas lost with Fernando “Tano” Ortíz on the dugout, it was enough for them to end their season, and now will have to watch the final from TV.

Ortíz knows that even if he found a solid lineup to face the games that he was in charge of Club América, there’s still some positions that need to be strengthened to have a solid participation in Apertura 2022 since the beginning, unlike what they did in the current season.

Jorge Sánchez was a starter with both Ortíz and Santiago Solari, he was involved in several mistakes that costed Club América points that could have helped them have a different outcome, especially at the start of the season, where he usually was out of place and lost his mark.

Sánchez could be on the move for Apertura 2022

His mistakes have made him a transferable player for Emilio Azcárraga and Santiago Baños once the summer transfer window is open, although they know that given his status of Mexican international, they will be able to sell him for a higher sum than his market value.

According to reports from RG La Deportiva, Las Águilas are interested in acquiring Nicolás “Diente” López from Tigres given the poor performances that Henry Martín and Federico Viñas had during Clausura 2022.

“El Diente” is looking to leave Tigres in search for more playing time and doesn’t see with bad eyes arriving at América, although Los Felinos are not willing to let him go that easy, as they are looking to strengthen their defense on the process, which is why they are considering swapping players.

Jorge Sánchez for Nicolás López

Since Miguel Herrera arrived at Tigres, he’s been trying to acquire players he trust from his stint in Club América, Jorge Sánchez being part of them, but given the high price that Las Águilas are asking for him, around $10 million, they might not be able to acquire him, which is why they want to include “Diente” López in the negotiation and having Sánchez arrive on a loan first with an option to buy if all parties agree.
