One of the second legs of the Liga MX Playoffs is being played today, in a duel in which the stakes are very high because if the Felinos lose in Tigres vs Atlas, they could also lose two players who have seduced one of the Mexican soccer teams.

The reason why Tigres vs Atlas should no longer be played

Although the Clausura 2022 tournament is not yet over, Liga MX teams are already sounding out players to make transfers and prepare for the Apertura 2022 tournament, which this year must start and end earlier due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.

If the Felinos lose today in the Tigres vs Atlas match, two of their players would end up in another team

According to reports in the Mexican press, Toluca has a strong interest in two Tigres players, Carlos González and Nicolás "Diente" López, and if the Felinos are eliminated from the tournament today, the process of signing these players would begin.

And one of the advantages that the Diablos Rojos have for the signing of these players is that the Felino and Escarlata boards have a great relationship, so it would be very easy for both players to be coached by Ignacio Ambriz.

In Guardianes 2021 Carlos González, the current Felino player left Pumas to join Tigres and since then he has played 54 matches with 11 goals, which would be a great addition to Toluca's attack.

On the other hand, Nicolás "El Diente" López played 13 matches in the Clausura 2022, 7 of them as a starter, and scored 2 goals, registering 1 assist in the Regular Phase.

Toluca would be strengthened by the arrival of the two Felinos

Therefore, both players could mean a new potential for the attack of the Red Devils, who just at the end of the tournament managed to reach their best level of play, which did not even allow them to play in the reclassification matches.

However, having reached this good level of play allowed the Diablos Rojos to beat a historic team in world soccer at the Nemesio Diez Stadium: Toluca defeated Bayer Leverkusen 1-0, who came to play against Los Escarlatas with all their stars.

And yet Ignacio Ambriz's Toluca defeated the third-best team in the Bundesliga, with a goal by Alexis Canelo in a duel that was not only an exhibition but also served for the coach to evaluate the performance of his team, which could soon receive two players from Tigres.
