He seemed to be America's new president, but now he could go to prison

Club America has not had the best of luck under the leadership of sporting director Santiago Baños, who has not brought in top reinforcements for the team in recent seasons. That has caused the team failure in the last two years but especially under Santiago Solari´s orders, who arrived for the 2021 Clausura.

Given the poor results of Santiago Baños, several names to replace him appeared on the agenda, however one of them could go to prison.

Who is the candidate?

According to El Sol de México, former America player Cuauhtémoc Blanco would be in serious trouble with the law after appearing in an image with alleged organized criminals. This image confirms what was reported in previous months about a possible link between these types of groups and the current governor of Morelos.

Cuauhtémoc Blanco has not come out to deny the news, however, the former soccer player is no longer in the country. 

Cuauhtémoc Blanco was one of the candidates to replace Santiago Baños. The former America and Chicago Fire player commented that after finishing his position in politics he wants to return to America in a board role.

After this news, Cuauhtémoc Blanco is unlikely to return to America.
