Tigres surprised everyone and suddenly announced the signing of its new striker, Jordy Caicedo. He is an Ecuadorian striker with experience in his national team and will be part of the Ecuadorian squad for Qatar 2022. The striker arrives to fight for Gignac's place in the club.

While Vela underestimates El Tri, what does Dani Alves think of Mexican soccer?

According to Ecuadorian media, Jordy Caicedo is a striker with a very similar profile to the Frenchman. Tall, strong and with a tremendous punch. Miguel Herrera would have at his disposal two strikers with capabilities to face the Liga MX and Concachampions competitions.

However, not everything is rosy. El Piojo already knows what it is like to send big stars to the bench if they do not perform at their best. Such is the case of André-Pierre Gignac, who, if relegated, would look for another option. In an interview for FOX Sports, he assured that "he would not like to end his career on the bench".

Will he accept América's offer?

Gignac will not be short of suitors if he decides to change teams. In Europe, MLS and even Mexico, he continues to be a big name. However, Club América would be interested in the striker, but he assured that he would prefer to retire before playing for the team from the capital.
