In his column in the sports media Record, "Doctor García" made an exhaustive analysis of the real options for El Tri heading to Qatar. In his comments, he pointed out a player who, according to him, has the best physical and technical conditions to play the role that the team lacks on offense.

Luis García sees precisely Santiago Gimenez of Cruz Azul as the great striker and Martino's new number 9 for the upcoming international matches. The 21-year-old Mexican player is one of the great promises of Mexican soccer and already enjoys interesting goalscoring quotas in Liga MX. 

Why did he ruled out Jiménez and Chicharito?

The situation of both players is already evident to many experts, including Luis García. Regarding the Wolves striker, the Mexican legend believes that he is going through a bad moment and that he has rarely been a reference for El Tri. On the other hand, he also discards Chicharito because of the current context with Martino, so he sees Giménez as a more than valid option for the national team.
