Many La Maquina fans still do not understand how the board of directors fired the coach, although he managed to take the team to another Liguilla. However, the reasons for his departure from the team were practically an open secret.

And although the coach said all along that the atmosphere within the team was good, it seems that not all the players were happy with the way the coach was leading the team.

Excesses and bad relationships with players for which Cruz Azul fired Juán Reynoso

According to what was reported by the website Mediotiempo, Cruz Azul's board of directors had already accumulated a series of reasons for firing the coach, among which were his excesses and the bad relationship with some of his players

On the subject of the excesses, these were in the monetary aspect, since according to Mexican media reports, Reynoso began to make economic demands that little by little went beyond the club's board.

For example, the Peruvian coach began to demand bonuses from the board for obtaining points in the tournament and even demanded a bonus from the board in the event of winning the Concacaf Champions League, a tournament in which they were ultimately eliminated by Pumas UNAM

And not only that, according to what the media reported, the coach even began to demand from the club's board of directors branded clothing such as sweaters or jackets, so that the team's top management began to talk about Reynoso's departure.

Players with whom Juán Reynoso had a bad relationship

According to what was reported by the Mexican newspaper, the coach also had a very bad relationship with two of the team's players, Romulo Otero and Santiago Giménez

With the former, Reynoso had a conflict because, in one of the training sessions, he demanded more sacrifice from the Venezuelan attacking midfielder when defending, which did not go down well with the player.

The latter responded rudely to the coach, which led to the two of them almost coming to blows, and although they were separated, this caused Otero to have fewer and fewer minutes on the field.

On the other hand, the coach also had friction with Santiago Giménez and this was one of the reasons why the Peruvian coach decided to always use Iván Morales as the starting striker, instead of calling Giménez.
