If their guilt is proven, Cruz Azul could receive close to US$10 million, the same amount that would have been embezzled during the administration of Bily Álvarez together with Víctor Garcés until 2020.

Edinson Cavani has not confirmed his presence with Cruz Azul, due to salary issues, as the striker earns close to US$7 million per year. If La Máquina recovers the lost money, it could sign the Uruguayan striker.
