First half highlights
At the beginning of the match, Pachuca was the team that tried to propose and manage the game. Guillermo Almada's men showed great moments of intensity, and for many stretches the Tuzos looked for Jurado's goal, but the ball never found its way into the net.
After 30 minutes, the referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of Pachuca for a foul by Tabó on Kevin Álvarez, which the VAR showed to be outside the box and reversed his first signal.
Minutes later, a corner kick on the right wing for Pachuca was the key to an important play that ended in the first goal for the visitors. A great cross by Kevin Álvarez, with Gustavo Cabral finishing it off and putting his team ahead at the Azteca.
Four minutes later, Avilés Hurtado left Nico Ibáñez under the goal, where surprisingly, the Tuzos striker did his part to send it over the goal. Pachuca doubled their lead in the final seconds of the first half. Luis Chávez found time and space to beat Sebastián Jurado.

Sebastián Jurado became the star of the second half, stopping Los Tuzos' attacks on multiple occasions. The player from Veracruz gave the Tuzos some breathing space and life during the final stages of the match against an imposing Hidalgo team. Carlos Rotondi was able to make his debut and came close to scoring in one of his first actions. In the end, the scoreboard remained unchanged and Pachuca took home the result.
