Club América is looking to add another player, he’s American and could be the striker they need

Club América is still on the market as they are looking to bring in a couple of new additions for Clausura 2022. So far, they’ve looked for a young forward in South America, but they haven’t been able to close a deal just yet.

This could open a new possibility for Las Águilas, who now have reopened conversations with a Liga MX team after the great Apertura 2021 the 23-year-old Mexican American had, although Necaxa coach Pablo Guedes is opposing the negotiations, as he feels the winger is essential to his game style.

The first reports of Club América interest in Alejandro Zendejas were during the offseason but now, after the first round of Clausura 2022 is on the books, they will try to acquire him as early as this week, as they already bid $5 million to acquire his services.

Alejandro Zendejas numbers in Liga MX

Zendejas can play both as a left-winger and midfielder, as he proved last season with Necaxa, where he was part of the starting XI on the 17 games they disputed. During that span of time, he managed to score six goals and assist on two occasions, making him the top Mexican scorer of Apertura 2021.
