The technical staff of Chivas de Guadalajara, led by coach Ricardo Cadena, published Chivas' official call-up list for Wednesday's match against Leon at the Akron Stadium, corresponding to match day 4 of the 2022 Apertura MX League Tournament.

On Tuesday afternoon, the ‘Rebaño Sagrado’ squad completed a demanding training session at the Verde Valle sports complex to put the finishing touches on the starting lineup for their match against Leon, with the mission of picking up their first victory of the tournament and starting to get on the move to the top of the standings.

Cadena, Chivas' coach, has kept the main and trusted elements of a very limited roster in his call-up list, which is why he published a very similar list to the one that recently traveled to the city of Torreón, where he obtained a 1-1 draw with Santos Laguna on the third date of the Mexican tournament and his first points away from home.

The head coach of Club Deportivo Guadalajara's bench included 22 players, among which there were several absences, including the already constant absence of the experienced right back, Jesús Chapito Sánchez, who is not in the plans of the red and white manager. Antonio ‘Pollo’ Briseño, on the other hand, did not appear on the roster to serve his suspension after the expulsion he suffered -without playing- against Santos Laguna.

Ormeño still without debut

The recently announced reinforcement Santiago Ormeño was also not included, as was announced on Tuesday night, although the official Chivas press release stated that "it is very likely that he will make his debut against Juventus on Friday (in Las Vegas)". Ricardo Cadena recovered a striker from the red and white infirmary and included him without much thought in the list for this duel, Paolo Yrizar, who overcame an injury suffered during a training session prior to the debut in this Apertura 2022.
