The Rebaño Sagrado kicked off the match in the Querétaro capital. Coach Ricardo Cadena had a starting lineup in which he highlighted the inclusion of promising midfielder Sebastián Pérez-Bouquet in creation, together with Fernando Beltrán.

Santiago Ormeño started on the substitutes' bench waiting for his chance to appear in the second half and make his official debut in the red and white jersey. Sebastián Pérez Bouquet ('25) and Alexis Vega ('80) scored for Chivas, while Ariel Nahuelpan ('45) and Mario Osuna ('88) also scored from the penalty spot.

After this away match, Club Deportivo Guadalajara will play its next match of the Liga MX Apertura 2022 on Saturday, July 30, when it will host Tuzos del Pachuca at the Akron Stadium.
