Carlos Alberto “Charly” Rodríguez arrival to Cruz Azul has been one of the greatest additions for Clausura 2022 so far and is a sign that La Máquina is not only doing thing right, but that they are real contenders for Liga MX title again.

In just two official games with Los Cementeros, “Charly” Rodríguez has scored the same number of goals, becoming the first Cruz Azul player in the club’s history to score in his first two games as a Cementero.

Rodríguez, who last season played for Monterrey, scored on the 2-0 victory against Tijuana Xolos on Cruz Azul debut in the second leg of 2021-22 Liga MX Season. After that game, he said he knew joining Cruz Azul was the right choice to make. On tonight’s game, he opened the score against Juárez FC.

Antuna is also giving outstanding performances

To no one’s surprise, La Máquina made the right additions for Clausura 2022, as “Charly” García’s second goal arrived after Uriel Antuna, another of Cruz Azul’s additions for this season, assisted him after a mistake made by Juárez FC’s defense.
