According to information from Brazil, the striker will join the South American team shortly after his agent finalized the negotiation and he will leave the capital team.

The player will have to undergo the corresponding medical examinations and if he passes them, he could sign a one-year contract with an option for another year.

Bryan Angulo joined La Máquina for the Apertura 2019, a tournament in which he participated in nine matches, but failed to score and was transferred to Xolos for the next season.

Bryan Angulo was with the border team during the Clausura 2020 and Apertura 2020, between which he scored four goals, but was unable to consolidate his position with the squad and therefore returned to Cruz Azul.

Upon rejoining the team, the player scored seven goals between the Clausura 2021 and Clausura 2022, but now he will join the South American team to continue his career as a player.

How much will Cruz Azul save from his departure?

With the departure of Bryan Angulo from Cruz Azul, the Mexican team will not receive a payment from Santos of Brazil but will save the striker's salary.

'La Máquina' loses a striker, but saves some US$350,000 with the departure of Bryan Angulo, as the Ecuadorian striker's last three months of his contract with the Cementero team were terminated by mutual agreement.

According to ESPN, Cruz Azul will not receive any payment from Santos of Brazil, Angulo's next club, but will save the salary of approximately 115 thousand USD for the months of April, May, and June, which represents some "income" for the club from La Noria, which had already made the decision since the end of 2021 to release "Cuco" this summer.

In a brief statement, Cruz Azul informed about the departure of Angulo, who on Wednesday did not train with the team on the pretext of a muscle strain and on Thursday did not show up at La Noria.

The Ecuadorian international will travel to Brazil in the next few hours to join Santos with a contract until June 2023, with the possibility of extending it if both parties so decide.

Now the bet as forwards will be with Santiago Giménez, Iván Morales, and Rodrigo Huescas, who has already received some opportunities from the coach Juan Reynoso.
