In a long interview for Fox Sports, América's operating president Héctor González Iñárritu revealed some details about the upcoming tournament for the América team, including the possible reinforcements that will arrive for the Apertura 2022.

Contrary to what Santiago Baños once said about the arrival of top players to América, the new president Héctor González Iñárritu assures that the team can go for more outstanding players, as Tigres has done with Gignac or at the time with Iván Zamorano.

According to Héctor González Iñárritu, América needs a defender, a midfielder, and a center forward, all of whom would be sought from within Liga MX. One of the players that most attracts the attention of the president is André-Pierre Gignac.

Will América have an impact reinforcement for the Apertura 2022?

Héctor González Iñárritu did not want to give details about the new elements that América could have, however, he confirmed that Jürgen Damm would be the first Azulcrema reinforcement.
