López Obrador reiterated that the investigations into what happened last Saturday at La Corregidora, in addition to the possible organized crime nexus in the cheering, are in charge of the Querétaro government headed by Mauricio Kuri; while he recalled the strategy he had for high-risk matches in Mexico City.

AMLO’s Words

"I am pleased that Governor Kuri, in addition to being attentive, has recognized that there were failures. In all the games, for example, here in [Mexico] City, for years there has been a mobilization of the police," he said.

"They are doing the investigation, the state prosecutor's office. We are going to wait because the governor made the commitment that he would act in accordance with the law and in a vigorous manner. We are going to wait for the result so that those responsible for the facts are punished, these are very regrettable, but it is up to them to give the information.

Who participated, if it was only what is presented as a confrontation of soccer fans or what type of cheers they are, on whose behalf, or if there was something extraordinary, special, but all that has to be investigated by the state government".
