Despite the fact that he is currently injured and played only a handful of minutes this season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was once again called up to the Swedish national team for the double date of the European Qualifiers in October. And the news is that he will do it with 40 years.
His coach, Janne Andersson, confirmed the presence of the eccentric 9 at a press conference despite his inactivity: "I know he is recovering from an injury, but I decided to call him because I believe and hope that Ibra is involved and contributes to the team week", explained.
After leaving behind the knee sprain that frustrated the dream of the Euro Cup and that left him off the courts for two months, Ibrahimovic returned 30 minutes against Lazio and scored a goal. However, the following week his Achilles tendon suffered and its current shape is unknown. He has not played since that game against those of the Italian capital on September 12.
The experienced Milan striker will blow out the candles this Sunday and will arrive with the four decades just completed at the games against Kosovo (10/09) and Greece (10/12). In turn, Ibra has already played two games in these same Qualifiers in March (vs. Georgia and Kosovo).
