Something very strange occurred during the last hours. Zlatan Ibrahimovic started a claim against Electronic Arts, the developers of FIFA 21, soccer’s most popular video game. The Swedish said that he was never asked neither paid for them to use their name and image and that he deserved a compensation.

The words of the attacker generated a chain of claims from many other players in the world, as their images were also being used with no advice. Surprisingly, FIFA made no response but acted in a way that many fans saw as a mock to Ibra, as they prized his rival Carlos Vela on the game.

During the last hours the Mexican has received an upgrade in the game’s mode Ultimate Team, the most popular one. The new Vela entered as a record breaker to receive his upgrade, considering that he is the player who scored the more amount of goals in a single MLS season (achieved on 6/10/2019).

FIFA is now releasing record breakers every Friday and Vela entered on the last one. The new card of the player has great stats, as 88 pace, 88 dribbling, 89 shooting, 84 passing and 71 physicals. His friends Cesc Fàbregas and David Silva, plus Jamie Vardy, Virgil van Dijk and Kylian Mbappé were also record breakers of the week.
