Will Lionel Messi return to Barcelona after Xavi revealed they spoke to each other?

Lionel Messi left Barcelona at the beginning of this season in a manner that was beyond the control of both player and club. He agreed to a new contract, he took a paycut but it was prevented by La Liga and CVC partnership deal.

Messi joined PSG but things haven't really gone well with him at PSG. He is yet to score a league goal in eight attempts and is currently injured having missed PSG's last two games. Xavi's return to Barcelona as manager and a balanced finances could tempt Messi for a return to his beloved club.

“Leo Messi texted me to wish me the best of luck. He’s incredible but he’s not here as Eto’o or Ronaldinho… we’ve to think about the future, not about players who’re no longer here at Barça”. Xavi said during his press conference.

Lionel Messi has also expressed the desire to one day return to Barcelona when his chapter with PSG is over. Messi said he wants a technical secretary role at Barcelona and not a playing role, but if the financial situation of the club improves, could he return?
