Will Lionel Messi return to Barcelona? He will keep his €6m mansion at Barcelona

Lionel Messi is settling to life in Paris, having moved there during the summer to join forces with Neymar and Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine star left FC Barcelona, and the city of Barcelona, after 21 years due to the club's inability to sign him to a new contract. While at Barcelona, Messi made a life for himself, including setting up his family and their home in the Spanish city. Messi reportedly spent up to €6m to put the house together. Now that he has left, what happens with the mansion left behind in Spain? 

Lionel Messi's mansion in Barcelona

The mansion that Lionel Messi and his family lived in while at Barcelona was one-of-a-kind. Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo reportedly spent up to €6m to acquire, remodel and redesign it to their taste. The house is located just a out 12 miles away from the Camp Nou. The mansion also has a small football pitch, a swimming pool, an indoor gym and a playground for his three children; Thiago Messi, Mateo Messi and Ciro Messi. 

Messi's mansion is located in the Castelldefels region of the Barcelona and it over looks the Balearic Sea. Messi also enjoys the coastal views of the Castelldefels harbour and beach as well as he enjoys minimal disturbance with a no-fly zone over his house because of its location in an environmental-reserved area. 

Will Lionel Messi return to Barcelona? 

It is unsure what will happen to the Messi's mansion in Barcelona as of now. Just a few months into his departure from the Catalan club, there have been no rumours of Lionel Messi selling his €6m mansion. Footballers are generally known to keep houses in many cities so this might not be a problem.

However, many fans hope that Messi would keep his mansion in Barcelona so that he can return to the club. Lionel Messi also confessed sometime ago that he'd like to stay on at Barcelona even after he retires in other capacities. Thus, if Lionel Messi chooses to return to Barcelona after his sojourn at Paris Saint-Germain or anywhere else, he will have a luxurious home in Barcelona waiting for him.
