Real Madrid is aiming to beat the transfer deadline in 24 hours to complete the signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-German. The French forward has repeatedly rejected contract extension offers from the Paris-based club with less than 12 months left on his current contract. PSG Sporting Director has revealed that the 21-year-old player wants to leave but any potential club must pay full value for the World Cup winner.

Real Madrid was said to have put in an initial offer of €160m which was swiftly rejected by the Parisians. The Los Blancos are said to have returned with an improved bid of €170m but PSG is still weighing the options. The Ligue 1 club bought Mbappe for £180m in the summer of 2017 and would be willing to let him go for €200m this season. It is to be seen if Real Madrid will stump up the money within the next 24 hours to complete the transfer.

Despite the harsh realities of Covid-19, Real Madrid seems to be ready to splash big on a player once again. The Spanish giants are without doubt that a proven performer would improve their quality on the pitch and also make their money off the pitch. Real Madrid expects that the signing of Mbappe will earn the club massive returns on investments in various ways.

One of those ways would be through the sales of his jerseys. Mbappe would certainly generate many followers through his popularity and possibly become the player with the highest shirt sales at Real Madrid. The club would target making close to the €100m figure they made when they signed Mbappe's idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, in 2009.

Another stream of income for the Los Blancos if they sign Kylian Mbappe is through increased fans watching live games at the Bernabeu and Livestream. The capital club has been shorn of a star attraction since Cristiano Ronaldo left in 2018, with Eden Hazard spending most of his time injured or not conjuring his expected wizardry when he plays. However, the blistering pace and sharp shooting of Mbappe is bound to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

The third stream of income for Real Madrid if they sign Mbappe is through prize money from winning competitions. The 21-year-old player would bring added firepower to the Madrid attack, making them better title contenders. With league wins and perhaps the UEFA Champions League title would come increased earnings for the club.
