Why Lukaku is a top3 striker in the world

The Inter player had one of the best seasons in 2019-20 and does not want to stop scoring in the actual one, and that makes everybody think he might be one of the best in the world

When we talk about strikers we immediately think in Luis Suárez, Lewandowski, Benzema or Harry Kane, but Romelu Lukaku is actually a player that can make it to the top 3. If you stop, take a step back and see the big picture is easily to conclude that the Belgian has all it takes, his stats overcome almost every forward in Europe.

Lukaku scored 34 goals in 54 matches last season and has a scoring percentage of 0.69 now at Inter. If we do not consider Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as essentially strikers, there is only one player with better stats and that’s Robert Lewandowsky with a percentage of 0.85 for Bayern.

So, what is the problem with Lukaku? He is really undervalued. The 27-year-old striker has been performing at a really good level, even in Manchester United, but the problem is that he is not playing in the elite clubs. He moved from a Manchester United that was under a reconstruction process to an Inter that still cannot overcome Juventus.

This could be the year for Lukaku to win an important trophy. Analyzing the Champions League, Inter has a pretty tough one. The Italian team has to face Real Madrid, Shaktar and Borussia Monchengladbach, but that is not an obstacle for the Belgian, is a challenge. A challenge to go and show the world why he is a top striker.
