Lionel Messi is not only a great soccer player, but also a good person, as his all-time companions report. The no. 10 has transformed himself into an historical legend, being one of the best players ever, at the level of Diego Armando Maradona, Pele or Alfredo Di Stéfano.

It is hard to hear from a polemic situation surrounding Messi, as the Argentina has a low profile and a calm lifestyle. But after many years a companion of him at Argentina national team revealed that he was very near to have a fight during and after a game. He is Nicolás Burdisso, defender that is now retired.

The professional career of Burdisso started at Boca Juniors and then took him to play at Inter, AS Roma, Genoa CFC and Torino. During his best time, he played 49 matches for the national team and in the South American Cup 2011 he was the starting defender of his team.

Argentina ended second in Group B of that competition, wining one match and tying two. On quarter-finals the team coached by Sergio Batista lost against Uruguay and was eliminated from the competition in their own country. Burdisso revealed later that he asked Messi to run until the very end of the game and that both players had a very hard discussion, that did not lead to punches as his other teammates separate them.
