Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is out of the game against FC Barcelona, after it was confirmed that he tested positive for Covid-19 while he was with the Portuguese national teams. Therefore, the Italian team will have to look for a footballer to replace the 35-year-old striker.
Gonzalo Higuain was one of the strikers who could have replaced Ronaldo. However, it will not be possible because the 32-year-old Argentinian terminated his contract with Juventus on 17 September 2020, and the signing with the for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. There, he has scored one goal in six games.
Álvaro Morata, the former player of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Atlético de Madrid, is the player most likely to be the team's center-forward during the Champions League game against FC Barcelona. The 27-year-old Spaniard started in the 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv and scored both of the team's goals.
That way, Morata seems to be the one who will replace Cristiano Ronaldo. However, coach Andrea Pirlo could finally choose the Argentinean Paulo Dybala. The 26-year-old striker entered from the bench in the 10th minute of the second half of the game against Dynamo Kyiv.
