Mourinho’s team is having a good season, on his last match he won 6 – 1 against Manchester United and before that, he almost assures a place in the Europa League and beat Chelsea in the Capital One Cup. All of this without the new star of the team, Gareth Bale, that’s saying a lot about Mourinho.

Bale was nursing a knee injury when he signed for Spurs, but the team keeps hoping for him to debut the next match against West Ham United. The coach said that they care about him and do not want to force him to play in case he gets hurt again. The good news is that he has been training normally during the international break.

Apparently, Bale will be on the bench this weekend, at best. That does not mean that we will play. Knowing the game style of Mourinho, he would only risk the player if the game is really heavy and need a win. There are several options for him to choose such as Carlos Vinicius, Erik Lamela, Steven Bergwijn or Giovani Lo Celso.

There is not need to push Bale to his limits. That should wait until the end of the season whin Tottenham hope to be in the first spots of the Premier League and in the final, why not, of the Europa League. We will have to wait and see if Tottenham made the right choice by signing Bale with his knee problems.
