Diego Lainez is not very happy at Real Betis at the moment. He has been benched a lot, but yesterday he started and played the full match for the first time in the season in the derby versus Sevilla, and he was one of the best in the 1-1 draw. Even, he humiliated Ivan Rakitic with a roulette, a move trademarked by Zinedine Zidane.

After that match, Betis fans talked on social media about his situation and concluded it is not fair, and that he should be a starter consistently. Playing as a right winger, the left footed caused many problems to Sevilla defenders cutting from the wing, and was very dangerous with the ball on his feet.

Who also recognized that Lainez should be getting a better treatment is the coach, Manuel Pellegrini. The former Real Madridand Manchester City manager told that the former Club Americaplayer has improved a lot and he is showing it. Lainez played only because the team lost three players due to COVID-19, but his development led Pellegrini to consider the Mexican.

After this good derby Lainez had, he had been fielded in seven league matches this season, coming from the bench in all of them. He is averaging only 26 minutes per match, but he is working hard to earn the spot and fortunately for him, everybody at Real Betis are recognizing it.
