Lionel Messi is an impressive goal scorer despite he is not exactly a striker. Still, the Argentinian has amazed everybody with his impressive ability to drill the net weekend after weekend. Do the goals have a price? They probably do. Meanwhile, Dustin Poirier is enjoying a bonus prize for this amazing knockout over Conor McGregor on Sunday morning.

To give an example, Messi has a year salary of $35.62 million. In 2020, the Argentinian master has scored 11 goals in 16 played matches. Of course, it was an unnatural year because of the global pandemic that put sports, as people’s lives, on hold for many months. Still, we could calculate each goal was worth $3.2 million.

On the other end, Dustin Poirier is living the dream after giving one of sports most impressive comebacks from all times. He was a clear underdog to face Conor McGregor in the UFC 257 combat night celebrated in Abu Dhabi. But the American fighter made an extraordinary display giving a brutal knockout to the world-wide famous Irish.

As for that, Poirier earned a special bonus: apart from being paid $1 million for fighting, he earned just $50,000 for winning by knockout. It was known that almost two million people subscribed to the PPV system to watch the action on TV. That could represent around $120 million as per the package’s prices.
