PSG had the best transfer window as they got four players on a free transfer; Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona, Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid, Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool and Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan. All have made their debut except Sergio Ramos.

The mercurial defender was signed through an injury he sustained and made him miss most parts of last season for Real Madrid, he also missed the European Championship where Spain reached the semi-final. Two months now since signing in Paris, he is yet to make his debut.

Reports from French media says the 35 year old former Real Madrid captain is fit and given medical clearance to play but manager Mauricio Pochettino is unwilling to rush the defender back into action after such a long time out of action so he will take no part in the Ligue 1 game against Angers this Friday.

The UEFA Champions League match against RB Leipzig is also believed to be too early to bring him back into action for PSG. The earliest he could return to action is the Ligue 1 match against Olympique Marseille coming up on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
