Juventus are dominating Serie A since long time ago after they came back from second division in 2006/07 season. They have won the last nine seasons in a row, an amazing record in many countries of the world. They are on the right track to make it 10, with some world class stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. But both have new challengers.

The Vecchia Signora (Italian for ‘Old Lady’) faced Genoa yesterday for the Coppa Italia. After a tight match, they went on to win in the penalty shoot-out. The match was useful to give some action to the substitutes who have few minutes during the season, and as well, to keep track of some players among their rivals.

It was reported that Juventus is interested in signing two young players who are now enjoying lots of minutes in the first team of Genoa. They are striker Gianluca Scamacca and center midfielder Nicolò Rovella. Also, Serie A leaders were keen to closely follow their player Marko Pjaca, who is on loan at Genoa and played the whole match.

How much would they cost? Just €12 million, according to the price tags mentioned by Transfermarkt. 22-year-old Scamacca is valued in €8 million and plays for Genoa on loan from Sassuolo. He’s a very tall striker who scored six goals in 16 appearances so far in 2020-21 season. He could well contend for Cristiano Ronaldo’s sport.

As for Rovella, he just turned 19 years old last month. He’s a very versatile center midfielder who is under contract with Genoa until June 30th, so Juventus could submit a €4 million offer now, according to Transfermarkt, or well bid for a free transfer for next season. Both seem to be a very good deal – and a serious threat for Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
