Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 was an atypical year for everyone. Including athletes of all different disciplines. After having been without sport activity for a long time, everything was reactivated little by little.

Almost everyone saw how their incomes were reduced, and that was not the exception to great idols and legends from sports. Almost all of them negotiated with their clubs a lower in their salaries, due to such a hard situation.

NBA star Stephen Curry, who was one of the best payed during 2020, won around $74.4 million (44 because of sponsorships and 30.4 because of his salary), while FC Barcelona's star Lionel Messi earned $104 million.

Separate lines for one of the best tennis players in history. The one who gained the most is Roger Federer. The Swiss was able to make up to $106.3 million and ended in the first position among all the athletes. He made even more money than Lionel Messi.
