Cristiano Ronaldo, born in Madeira, Portugal is a professional soccer player who currently plays for Manchester United in England. He is in a second spell at the club having also played for the club between 2003 and 2009. He joined Real Madrid in 2009 for a world record fee of £80m then and played for Real Madrid for nine seasons before leaving for Italy with Juventus, breaking his own transfer record after moving for £88m.

 

He rejoined Manchester United at the beginning of this season after three years in Juventus. It was first reported at the end of the season that he would be leaving Juventus but it was denied. Reports then linked him to Manchester United rival, Manchester City but he later joined Manchester United to continue writing his Manchester story. He is the richest footballer in the world.

 

What is Ronaldo's estimated net worth?

In 2020, Forbes reported that Cristiano Ronaldo became the first soccer player to cross an estimated earnings of $1bn in his career but his net worth stands at an estimated $500m. His current salary stands at £26.52m per season, a reduction from what he earned at Juventus. The salary comes very far from his reported total earnings of $120m per year from other sources.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a large followership on social media with more than 500m followers combined on all social media. His major social media is Instagram where he has 350m followers and since he joined Juventus, he has been making more money from the platform than what clubs actually pay him as salary. He reportedly charges almost a million dollars per post on Instagram, at $975,000 per post, he charges the most of any football star and makes about $47m.

 

What are his cars and assets?

Ronaldo lives in an estate in Alderley Edge when he played for Man Utd, he also has a €7m mansion at La Finca, Real Madrid. His mansion in Turin where he lived when playing for Juventus has a private gym and a swimming pool. He has a holiday property in Costa del Sol, Portugal and also a house in Madeira worth about $10m.

His car collection includes Bugatti Chiron, a Bugatti Veyron, a Mercedes G-Class Brabus, a Lamborghini Aventador and a Ferrari F12. He has a Gulfstream G200 twin-engine private jet, he bought it in 2015 for over $27m. He also has a superyacht five luxury cabins and six bathrooms, along with modern lounges, kitchen and dining areas.
