Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly lining up a transfer for Real Madrid's Casemiro this summer. The French side is considering drafting in the Brazilian midfielder if they fail to pursue Manchester United's Paul Pogba. The Parisians are all out to build a team that is capable of winning the UEFA Champions League immediately.

Mauricio Pochettino's side has been expected to land France international, Paul Pogba from EPL side, Manchester United. Pogba has less than 12 months left on his contract and has reportedly rejected the latest contract extension offer worth £400,000 weekly from United. The former Juventus player is said to prefer a move to his native land and would be prepared to join PSG. A fee in the region of £40m is said to be enough to secure the signing of Pogba.

However, if the signing of Pogba doesn't go through, PSG has lined up Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro, as his likely replacement. The Brazilian is also a combative defensive midfielder with 4 UEFA Champions League titles to his name. He has been the first-choice holding midfielder for Madrid since the 2015-16 season. The 29-year-old was also part of the Brazilian side that won the Copa America in 2019.

Paris Saint-German is sparing no funds in their quest to win the Champions and recover the Ligue 1 title this season. So far, they have brought in Achraf Hakimi, Danilo Pereira, Sergio Ramos, Gigi Donnarumma and Gini Wijnaldum. They are also in pole position to sign 6-time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi on a free transfer from Barcelona.
