They call him the new Cristiano and the Portuguese threatens to end with his career
He is only 20 years old and he is Portuguese as well, but CR7 may be ending with his great moment soon.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been said to have a lot of successors. The Portuguese legend aged 35 has marked an era but his professional career could be near the end due to his age. One of those called to replace CR7 may be Pedro Neto. Aged 20, the attacker is also Portuguese and has some promising conditions.
Neto plays since August 2019 at Wolverhampton, when the English side paid $20 million for him to Lazio. But now, Cristiano himself may end his dream at the club. It’s been rumored that the legend may be going to Wolves next season, after Juventus trying to get rid of him.
The connection between Cristiano and Wolverhampton is due to the agent Jorge Mendes and the great amount of Portuguese in the club, starting with head coach Nuno Espírito Santo and continuing with eight players from that nationality on the squad. If Cristiano joins he would be one more in that huge family.
But the one who may not be happy if Cristiano moves is Neto himself. The attacker played eight Premier League matches so far this season and shared the attack with Raúl Jiménez. He also uses no. 7, the historical number preferred by Cristiano, and if he arrives we may think that his time at the club may end.
