The future of Lionel Messi is still very uncertain. At the age of 33, the Argentinian legend could leave FC Barcelona soon as he tried to do so during the last transfer window but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu closed him the exit gate. After his departure, things have changed, and he could now be moving.
The contract of Messi with Barcelona ends on June 2021 and that gives him the chance to negotiate since this winter with the club that he wants to. Manchester City has always showed interest on the forward and international press report that they will be making an offer for him.
During the last hours some conditions of that bid from the Premier League side were known and it was reported that they want to make Messi a contract for 10 years more. If that happens, the star could then sign until his 43 years and guarantee gaining a fortune for a decade more.
Even though those are just rumors, we still have to know what the player thinks about it. Messi arrived to Barcelona more than 20 years ago and, after all this time, he wants to leave. The lack of a project that he likes and the mistreatment that he received are the reasons why he is trying to depart.
