Gonzalo Higuain's arrival boomed the Major League Soccer's transfer market. Undoubtly, the Argentinean will give a hierarchic jump to the league, despite the fact his phyisical state still has a question mark. However, Higuain wasn't David Beckham's first option to reinforce Inter Miami CF. Previously, Luis Suárez was in the new franchise's radar.

According to ESPN, the former Los Angeles Galaxy and Manchester United player offered the Uruguayan being the history's best paid player in the US most prestigious league. An anual 9.5 million dollars wage was what Suarez would have earned in case of accepting the offer.

That number would have made him be on top of Zlatan Ibrahimovic that was first in the most paid ranking in MLS' history with 7.2 million dollars per year. Finally, it was Higuain who took the leadership with a 8.8 million dollar ranking. Suárez still didn't confirm where he is going to play.
