Last year, things got serious when Neymar had a fight with a rival. He spent the whole game trash talking the Brazilian, and there was also a racist moment after this defender, Álvaro González, used a racist slur against him. There were also insults on Twitter, and fans followed that conflict very closely.
Today, Paris Saint-Germain played away at Marseille, where Álvaro plays, in the French derby. Ney had been benched but Mauricio Pochettino subbed him on in the second half. What happened next was a new chapter of the encounters between them that went viral and got fans crazy.
Neymar stole the ball from Álvaro's feet. Then he run to the box in possession. The Spanish defender tried to bring Neymar down with a violent tackle to his ankle. And he did it, but that ended in injury... for Álvaro. He had to be subbed off and strangely, the penalty for PSG was not given.
Meanwhile Neymar, used to be kicked, did not suffer any damage. And the players in the Paris Saint-Germain dressing room will be laughing at the failed attempt of aggression. And of course, he will be the one having the most fun. The 2-0 win in the derby had as an addition the humiliation of a personal rival.
