In the just ended 2020, Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to AC Milan from Los Angeles Galaxy, leaving a comfortable life in MLS to give himself new challenges in Italy. Despite being 39 years old, Zlatan made a revolution in his club, that himself took to be top of the league motivating everybody around.

The Swede scored 20 goals in 24 league matches, an insane number that is even crazier considering his age. This could be a valid argument to him better than Cristiano Ronaldo, something Zlatan said many times. But there is something that he could not anticipate and he lost to CR7 on that.

That is because the Sofascore Serie A team of the 2020 was released, and his average media was lower than Ronaldo's: Ibrahimovic made an excellent 7.74 but the Portuguese made it better, to an amazing 7.86, that is of course the best of Serie A and one of the best in Europe top leagues.

The Portuguese has more goals than matches this league season, 12 in 10, and scored 29 times in Serie A the whole 2020. 45 goals if all competitions are counted. A beast like Zlatan can make anything possible, but to surpass Cristiano Ronaldo there will be needed something else.
