The record that former Atlanta United Gonzalo “Pity” Martinez could not break with Al-Nassr

Gonzalo “Pity” Martinez breaks the hearts of the fans in every club he plays. He did it at River Plate, at Atlanta United and now its Al-Nassr's turn. In all the teams he played, he was always elected MVP and obtained a title, considering him one of the best players of the history of each team.

If Gonzalo Martinez had won the AFC Champions League with AL-Nassr, he would have achieved the record of having been the only player to obtain trophies in the Libertadores, the US Open Cup and the Asian Champions League, thus winning trophies from three different Confederations.

Also before losing the semifinal against Persepolis he used to be the MVP of the Asian tournament which would also had given him the title of having been chosen three times the best player in the tournaments that he won. The good performance that he had before the semifinal made everyone think that Al-Nasrr was going to be the winner of the AFC Champions League.

All teams enjoy his skill as a player and want him to continue playing for them, but the destiny of the young Argentinean player in the long run seems to be in Europe. If Martinez manages to guide a team back to an intercontinental title, surely great European teams will lay their eyes on him
