Just hours before the Spanish Classic between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Week 7 of the Spanish La Liga, the team led by the Frenchman Zinedine Zidane received some very bad news. In the coming months, the team could lose a figure that has cost millions of dollars.

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is facing a six-month prision sentence in Serbia for breaking quarantine rules when he flew home to go to his girlfriend's birthday party in Belgrade. Besides, the 22-year-old footballer faces a possible fine of 1,275 euros, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.

Furthermore, according to the RTS news agency, the former player of Benfica and Eintracht Frankfurt tried to pay 30,000 euros to soften the punishment that the Prosecutor's Office wants to impose. The Serbian prime minister Ana Brnabic said that Jovic is a "negative example".

After scoring 17 goals in the German Bundesliga in the 2018-2019 season, the forward signed a contract with Real Madrid for 58 million euros in 2019. Since his arrival at the Spanish club, he has only scored two goals and gave two assists in 31 games. He was beginning to be considered by Zidane. Now he will have to solve this problem immediately.
