The reason why the top teams in Europe look askance at Raúl Jiménez and hesitate to hire him
The Mexican is having an incredible season, but big sides from Europe don’t think he might be the best signing.
Raúl Jiménez is very likely to be one of the best Mexican strikers of the moment. The attacker has scored four goals on nine Premier League appearances and has been the best player from Wolverhampton so far this season. But his great present may not mean that he could move to a top team soon.
His great conditions where also proven at Mexico national team, where he scored 23 goals after 82 games played. During the last two matches he made a pair of goals in the last FIFA international break of the year, against South-Korea and Japan. His capacity was also showed at the international stage.
Jiménez appeared in the radar of some top European teams with such a moment and himself even talked about the rumors of moving to Manchester United or Juventus. But, at the end, the chances of him to play at some of the biggest clubs in the continent may not be occurring.
The reason is that the clubs who look after him are worried about how he performs on the very top level. His experience at Atlético de Madrid was good, but he only managed to play a year there and then always played for secondary clubs in European relevance, as Benfica or Wolves.
