The historic defender and captain of Real Madrid wasn't part of the team which lost 2-3 to FK Shakhtar Donetsk for the first date of the 2020-2021 Champions League. Ramos is injured and was marginalized the game, although he was with  the team during the game. Ramos got injured during Real Madrid's game against Cadiz this weekend.

Sergio Ramos' absence caused discomfort in the fans since they believe that, despite not been at his 100% physically, the captain of the 'Merengue' could have played anyway. Moreover, the fans of Real Madrid decided not to play to regain his optimal physical conditions to face Barcelona in 'El Clásico' next Sunday, October 25.

The Real Madrid fans accused Ramos that these cases have been repetitive between the most experienced players of the squad. They are angry because they say that old players are injured suspiciously and are not a good example for the younger players of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid is third in the Spanish league with 10 points after winning 3 games, drawing 1 and losing 1. Next Sunday, October 25, the thirteen time winner of the Champions League will face Barcelona in 'El Clasico'. Barcelona stands ninth in the Spanish league with 7 points. Both teams arrive to the game after losing their last league game: Real Madrid fell to Cadiz and Barcelona fell to Getafe.
