Robert Lewandowski could be on his way out of Bayern Munich if his agent's words are anything to go by. His agent made a claim that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are interested in the FIFA Best Player and he could be heading for the Etihad to reunite with his former boss.

Manchester City's squad is already packed in attack but Guardiola is open to let some of the players leave, the key player who is certain to leave if his situation doesn't change is Raheem Sterling. The English winger has fallen down the pecking order at City and Guardiola says he must fight for his place.

The signing of Robert Lewandowski could well be the end for Raheem Sterling as he would have one less role and one more player to compete for in the team as he deputises in the false 9 role, which would mean less playing time for the English winger in the team.

Manchester City played the entirety of last season mostly without a recognised striker with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus sitting on the bench. Aguero left for Barcelona in the summer and Guardiola still doesn't trust Gabriel Jesus enough and would be going after Robert Lewandowski, a player he managed in his three years at Bayern Munich.
